I am trying to connect Elizabeth Caldwell b. 1839 in AL, m. 20 Jan 1857 to William Reatherford (Rutherford); and Jane Caldwell b. 06 Jan 1831, d. 04 April 1902 – Shelby County, m. 24 Nov 1853 to James Waymon Acton. I have been told that Alexander’s will names Elizabeth, who predeceased him, and names Hampton Rutherford (my great-grandfather), his brothers William Rutherford and John Nations as receiving her share. CHAMBLISS, Sarah R. COOPER, Caroline Savanah, I am searching for information on the parents of Caroline Savanah COOPER. She was born December 21, 1851, in Georgia.  She married William Moses Hughes September 07, 1865, in Village Springs, (Jefferson Co.) Alabama. She and William moved to Texas approximately in 1870 where she died October 3, 1907, in Henderson County Texas. In checking the Censuses for 1860 and 1870 I do not find any mention of the COOPERS that lived in Village Springs ( Jefferson County ) that are conclusively her parents.
