JARNAGIN, John, b: about 1748 in VA; m: Mary SMITH. Moved from VA to TN in late 1700s and on to OH about 1805. Known children: Nancy, John Jr., Isaac, Drury, Mary (Polly), Hulda (Holly), Emelia (Millie), Noah, and Eli.  Purported brother of Thomas JARNAGIN (1746-1802), and son of John JARNAGIN and Mary BYNUM. Anyone else researching this line? I would especially like to hear from the gentleman researching JARNAGIN/JERNIGAN who was at the PAF/CAGG meeting at the FHC in Birmingham Saturday, March 14. JENKINS, Abner & Lilly – Seeking information about Abner Jenkins.  He lived on 14st. Ensley in 1930.  He worked for the cold mines and died at an ealry age working in the cold mines. He was born Feb. 5, 1900.  I would like to know the name of the cold mine and if it still exist (the building)and what was the cause of his death.  Seeking information about Lilly Jenkins.  She was married to Abner’s brother William Jenkins.  Prior to moving to Birmingham, she lived in West Virgina.  William died in Montgomery, Alabama June 1941.  She was alive in 1960.(Where she lived, worked, did she re-marry and when she died)   I have tried to contact funeral homes in the Birmingham area and they were not corporative.  Please contact Cassandra Jenkins at rjenkin1@yahoo.com   [posted February 17, 2007]

JOHNSON, David J. – Seeking information, trying to find out abt when David J Johnson b 1812, NC, he married Mary Ann Macon feb 6,1842 Macon Alabama, she was daughter of Pleasant Macon and NANCY Gray..I know that Nancy Gray Macon is buried at Luachapoka Cemetery, She died in 1883. David and his wife, Mary Ann, had their children in Coosa County, Alabama. They were George F Johnson, Willis, Nathaniel B., who married a girl named America (We couldn’t find out her maiden name) Anderson, William Thomas Johnson, b 1854-d 1934 TX, Ellen Gray Johnson, b 1854, married William F Weir in McCollouch Co TX 1881, Lou Ambler Johnson, James Wesley Johnson, Charles and Nancy, Pleasant and David J Jr.  I was able to find the Johnsons in Vaugine, Jefferson Co ARK 1870…….Then I can never find David again after that….I find Mary Ann, his wife and some of the children in 1880 McCollouch Co TX , she is a widow at 54 yrs old livng with the kids, David is not with her. JONES, Charles – Our Charlie Jones was originally from the Wales/England border, born in the late 1850s, and moved to the US with his 5 brothers between 1868 and 1885. they were mainly brick/stonemasons and moved to varioud places like Kansas, Pennsylvania and Tennessee for work. Charlie and brother James/Jim settled in Birmingham area, which we know because it’s referred to in old letters dated 1895-1915 and we have old photos taken in Birmingham, wiht names on back and appear to be WWI era when he’s old. JONES, John – John JONES was adopted by a family in the Birmingham area. He was born 1/19/1862. The local bank in Birmingham gave him the initial “F” for identification purposes only. He married Laura Emma Henley (DOB 1/1/1864)and had several children, Bert Tell, William, Battie, Ethel, Mamie, Goldie, and Jessie. JOYCE, Lucy – : Lucy Joyce married James Wideman in Tuscaloosa and moved to Birmingham were they raised their two daughters Edith and Evelyn. Edith married a B.F. Mc Nally and lived on Cotton Ave, in Birmingham. Evelyn married John F.
